I’ll be out of office until late next week, but I thought I’d leave you with some arty, designy, creativity things to ruminate on in the meantime. Here’s the latest Creative Wavelength round-up:

The Archiwriter poster series by Federico Babina imagines the conceptual houses of famous writers. I love these on two different levels, as a bookworm and as a designer.

Pete of Craft & Graft has a great poster series of his own, reimagining a movie poster every day of 2016, like this one for The Birds. Love some of his minimal interpretations!

15 Lies Clients Tell Their Designers. It’s scary-funny how many of these I’ve encountered.

If you’re a fan of the natural and the magical, like I am, check out the beautiful work of Kindra Nikole.
⇒ The Mass Poetry project is taking Boston by storm, literally, with sidewalk poetry that only shows up when it rains. Very cool.
⇒ You can never own all the magic in the world. Takeaway: stop trying, and just enjoy things.
⇒ Whatever you do, don’t quit your job to pursue your passion. “Quitting your job to pursue your passion is bullshit. […] The statement alone reeks of privilege. It confirms you had a full-time job to begin with. It confirms you had time to develop a passion (that you can capitalize off of, enough to meet your cost of living). […] I don’t want anyone who works a 9-to-5 to feel like a fool for staying at a stable job, or feel wrong if they actually enjoy it. I want people to know that nearly all the overnight entrepreneur success stories in the spotlight leave out the privilege afforded to them in the first place.”
